The fire blazed angrily, reaching for the stars with it’s flickering flames.
It was beautiful, Harry mused. He had never been to a bonfire before and if someone had asked him a week before if he wanted to stand near a very large fire like this one, he would have told them that they were bonkers. And yet here he was, on a beach in a foreign country, taking in the beauty of dangerous flames that could easily burn a person if they went too close.
He smiled when he heard the shifting of sand behind him and a familiar creep of excitement danced up his spine. The person stopped a few steps short of Harry and Harry could almost feel his hesitation.
“Afraid of fire?” Harry teased.
“It’s one thing that could kill me,” the man behind him answered quietly.
“It can kill me too, you know, if I jump into it or something,” he said without missing a beat. He knew Malfoy too well not to know what he was going to say.
“And you’re the idiot standing too close to it.”
Harry laughed and turned his head, staring with amusement at Malfoy. “Sometimes you have to live your life on the edge of a cliff. Or, very close to a fire.”
“You do that far too much,” Malfoy retorted with a grin. The two sharp teeth on either side of his mouth gleamed in the moonlight. If he had been anyone else, Harry might have feared it, feared him
, but Harry wasn’t anyone else and he had nothing to be scared off. Malfoy was still Malfoy, the slimy Slytherin git that just happened to be a really good shag.
“I do,” Harry admitted quietly, staring back at the fire. “I feel empty, bored when I don’t. My Hogwarts life was all about danger.”
Malfoy’s arms slipped around his stomach. His fingers entwined into each other when they met on Harry’s stomach and his chest pressed against Harry’s back. They were the same height and so the feel of Malfoy’s half hard cock pressed insistently into his arse. “Is that why you’re with me? I’m dangerous?”
“Dangerous, yeah.” Harry grinned. “And you have a fierce bite.”
Harry felt Malfoy’s chest rumble as he chuckled. “You’re a strange one, Potter.”
Harry tilted his head, resting the back of it on Malfoy’s shoulder so he could stare into Malfoy’s eyes. “And you’re no better, Malfoy.”
Their lips met in a rough kiss, the kind that always made Harry moan, the kind where Malfoy bit his lip and made him bleed, and the kind where Malfoy would then lick up the blood and groan at the taste, his teeth lengthening and his cock hardening until it felt like a rock poking into Harry.
“You’re an animal,” Harry finally said when they broke apart.
“And you’re sadistic for being with me,” Malfoy retorted, a feral grin covering his deep red lips. “And I’m hungry.”
Harry chuckled again and tilted his head to the side, offering the man behind him his neck.
That night they stood there, in front of the flickering fire as Malfoy fed from Harry, taking as much blood as he could before Harry was on the brink of passing out. And then when Harry regained his strength, he made Malfoy take him in the sand.
dangerous, there was no doubt about it. If Harry had taken a step closer to the flames, he would have been burnt. But Malfoy was just as dangerous, if not more, and instead of being a step away from him, Harry always seemed to be on top of him, underneath him, pressed against him and while it wasn’t a burn that seared Harry, Malfoy’s teeth in him was so much better. Being on the brink of death wasn’t that bad, but being with death itself was so much better than Harry could have ever expected.
